Poker Night is a private scheduling app I built for my own group of friends — it's not a commercial product, it's not open for anyone to sign up, and it's not sold or supported as a business. This page explains what the app collects, why, and who can see it.
Poker Night is operated by Christopher Catlett (also known as Miles), as an individual. If you have any question about your information, email milescatlett@gmail.com.
The app is invite-only. Someone already in the group (the host) has to add you and send you a one-time code before you can use it at all. There's no public sign-up.
If the host chooses to import players from their phone's contacts, that's processed locally on the host's own device — Poker Night never uploads your phone's address book anywhere. Only the name (and, if the host adds one, a locally-cached phone number) of someone actually added as a player is ever stored.
If you receive a text from Poker Night, it is because you gave the host your verbal consent to be added and to receive these messages. Texts are transactional only: a one-time invite code, and updates about a specific poker night (confirmed, cancelled, or an RSVP reminder), sent either by the host directly or by an automated message sent on the host's behalf. Poker Night never sends marketing or promotional texts.
Message frequency varies with how often poker nights are scheduled — typically only a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS/text messaging opt-in consent — is shared with, sold to, rented to, or traded with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is disclosed only to Twilio, the messaging provider, and solely to deliver the messages described above. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for any other purpose. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or by asking the host to remove you.
Only the other members of this specific private group — people the host has individually invited. The app relies on a few service providers to actually run:
None of these providers use your information for their own purposes — they only process it to make the app work.
The host can remove you from the roster at any time, which stops any future messages. To request your information be fully deleted, email milescatlett@gmail.com.
Poker Night isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under 13.
